The Uncertainty Analysis Workshop that took place on the 26th of March, at ESA’s facilities in Harwell, brought together experts from across the Arctic Freshwater (ARCFRESH) project to think about a challenging aspect of the project, namely, quantifying and understanding the uncertainties. The day-long workshop was structured into three themed sessions, each of which combined metrological-focused presentations followed by breakout discussions.
Overall, the workshop achieved a significant interdisciplinary convergence, outlining both the theoretical and practical challenges of uncertainty analysis in Arctic freshwater flux studies. It fostered a shared understanding among team members, not only deepening the team’s insight into the sources and propagation of uncertainty but also laying the groundwork for improved methodologies that will enhance the credibility and accuracy of the ArcFresh project’s scientific outputs.
